HBCF insurance (Builders Warranty Insurance) is a mandatory requirement for every building project in NSW, where the project cost is greater than $20,000. Any project of this size or greater requires a Builder’s Warranty certificate issued by HBCF. Builders Warranty insurance provides protection for homeowners to compensate for losses if the builder becomes insolvent, faulty workmanship or cease trading. This policy will help with covering the cost of another builder picking up and completing the project.
